This is a full-day tour that covers the main attractions in the Sacred Valley Tour. The valley itself is a beautiful stretch of small villages and has ancient ruins spread across a broad plain and rugged mountain slopes that run from southeast to northwest of Cusco, the valley was of great value to the Incas due to its special geographical location and climatic qualities it was the best place for maize production in Peru – even the Spanish used to call it the Sacred Valley.
Along with the valley rolls the Urubamba river or the Sacred river (called the Willcamayu by the Incas). The Incas believed that the river was the earthbound counterpart of the Milky Way. It was also home to many Incan citadels such as Ollantaytambo, Pisaq, and Machu Picchu.

Itinerary
Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Cusco at 7 am to start your tour. After a 1-hour ride, you will arrive at the Pisaq archeological complex, a beautiful Inca site with its temple of the sun, ancient Inca cemetery, terraces, water fountains, great architecture, and an amazing view of the Sacred Valley.
Then we move on to the Ollantaytambo archeological complex for about 1.5 hours for a detailed tour of the temple of water, sun, the bath of the Inca princess, agricultural terraces, etc.
Ollantaytambo is also known for being an Inca living town, so we will be able to take a short walking tour through the streets to experience the architecture of this old town.
Sacred Valley Tour journey will offer you great views of the Urubamba snow covered mountain range and well as local farm lands. The final place to tour will be Chinchero archaeological site for a 1-hour proper tour, also we will visit the local weaving industries where local ladies from Chinchero will show you how they still use flowers, roots, and seeds to dye the wool of alpacas and llamas, and demonstrate the weaving process of making blankets and other products. They will also offer you a cup of MUÑA tea (local mint) while they explain their work.

Note: Tickets can be purchased at the gate of each attraction on the day of the tour, and payments should be made in Peruvian soles.

What is the terrain like? How challenging is it?
The tour is rated as moderate since for touring the sides we will be walking but not hiking, any one can really tour and join us.
How long before should I book this tour?
This tour does not require booking with long in advance, but Peru by Locals still needs at least a week to put everything together, so you can have the best guide and transport.
What is the weather like during the year?
The Cusco area has two well-defined seasons: the wet season and dry season. The wet season starts in November and ends in March, with frequent rain for three or four hours a day, but also several sunny days. The dry season lasts from March until October. June and July are the coldest months, though temperatures can reach 23°C (77°F) at noon during the year.
Should I tip the guide and driver? If so, how much should I tip?
Our guides are paid fairly according to Peruvian labor laws, so we don’t force clients to tip. However, if you feel like giving an appreciation for their work, we recommend tipping about 15% of the total cost.
Is there any condiiton limitations?
There is no minimum age or limit for this tour any one can join us, PERU BY LOCAKLS doesn no limmit people with different abilitites, region, sex or similar.
Peruvian Currency
The Peruvian sol is the currency of Peru, and usually fluctuates between 3.3 to 3.8 Nuevo sol to 1 US Dollar.
